The Tommy Thompson Park NATURE CENTRE, PARKING LOT and BIRD RESEARCH STATION are CLOSED. Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) has closed these facilities to protect visitors, staff and all other attendants, from the potential risk of contracting COVID-19. Trails remain open for social distanced passive use and can be accessed from the entrance located off Outer Harbour Marina Rd. Be aware all maintenance operations have been suspended, and visitors use the trails at their own risk. Note that parking is not permitted on Outer Harbour Marina Road.

Since 1973, Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) has been the agent for development and management of this “accidental wilderness.”   Tommy Thompson Park is a significant Important Bird Area (IBA).  It is recognized globally as a critical stopover point for birds as they migrate over Lake Ontario.

By supporting Tommy Thompson Park, you support worldwide conservation efforts in helping preserve significant species, protect environmentally significant areas, enhance aquatic and terrestrial habitat and enhance public recreational opportunities.
